Overview

Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Vice President - Operations to work out of our Operations Services Center (OSC) in Hummelstown, PA.  

 

The Vice President – Operations serves as a key leader in the organization along with the four peer Vice Presidents reporting to the President.  This executive team shares the responsibility for both short-term and long-term planning and executing for organizational success.  A primary responsibility is to provide visionary leadership to a technology enabled industry leader in short term traffic control.  This executive has responsibility for both the Field Management organization and the Operations Services Center (24/7/365) logistical support facility.  An ability to both lead internal teams as well as interact with executives and senior leaders of our clients is a key aspect of the role ensuring that every interaction between all parties is based on the company’s values, vision, and mission.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all departments within the Operations Services Center (OSC)
  • Lead and mentor managers within the OSC
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to streamline processes and deliver for the clients and communities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership for the Director of Operations Services Center (OSC) who has responsibility over the entire logistical and tactical functions of the organization.
  • Interact with executive leadership of the organization to manage both short and long term objectives.
  • Establish and monitor for compliance both the Field Management and OSC leadership teams meet internally developed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Ensure company meets or exceeds client KPI’s and participate as necessary to ensure regularly scheduled client review meetings are successful.
  • Support new and renewing client contract negotiations as requested by the President.
  • Along with Operations leaders, review operational processes, simplify complexities, improve efficiency and accuracy by maximizing the use of technology within the entire Operations group.
  • Partner with peers or other key personnel to lead a culture of innovation to enhance operations and achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Support growth, development and career progression of the entire Operations group including monthly 1v1’s, skip level meetings, coaching and performance reviews
  • Analyze departmental team structures and refine as needed to meet objectives.
  • Ensure Operations teams work effectively with cross-functional departments such as Fleet, Finance, Sales, Communications, Human Resources, Risk and Safety.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leadership experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to joining the organization
  • Project management and people management background required
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, teambuilding and collaboration skills
  • Highly skilled communicator and collaborator
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Technically inquisitive with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software systems
